Fun with slugs

More specifically, brain slugs.  Even more specifically, brain slugs from Futurama (seriously hilarious show, if you haven't seen it; I cannot recommend it highly enough).

I made these sometime last month, although Big Brain Slug's eye didn't get properly attatched until maybe last week.  I seem to have a tendency to take a long time to finish projects.  Anyways, I got this pattern from the Hook & Needles blog.  I used Lily Sugar'n Cream Hot Green yarn, and I don't entirely remember what size hook I used (most likely a size E-4 (3.5mm) hook, since that provides a nice tight stitch).

I was literally waiting to post about this project because I still felt this blog required a few specific pictures, which I had been too lazy to take until just now.  I am a lazy, lazy person.

This is my puppy, Rory, somehow sitting still long enough for me to take a picture of Baby Brain Slug making a meal of her grey matter (or something, I'm not sure how they feed exactly).

It's funny how you can take a dozen pictures of something, hoping to get a better one each time, and you end up using the very first one you took.

On a completely unrelated note... winter's almost over!  Yay!

This was the gorgeous sky at 6:50ish on Tuesday I think.  Believe me, this photo does not do it justice.  It was a much, much darker sky and a much, much deeper red.  Driving into work when it's not pitch black out is a very lovely feeling - spring is almost upon us!
